Music has always played a big part in my life. Right from when I was a very young kid I was exposed to a variety of music styles – soul, funk, jazz, afrobeat, juju, pop, rock, etc.  Two records remain in my memory as the driving force that took my passion for music to a higher plane: ‘Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)’ by Sly & The Family Stones, and ‘For The Love Of Money’ by The O’Jays.

During my secondary school days I ventured into DJing and became the No.1 DJ at friends’ house parties.  The mid 80s introduced me to the nightclub scene of Brighton (England). I had stints at Rumours, Toppers, West Beach, Oriana’s, Zipadeedoodah Bar & The Jazz Place.

I got into radio broadcasting when I became a member of Hospital Radio Crawley in 1995.   I currently present a regular weekly show on Reach OnAir – an internet radio station.  The show – mistaGROOVE’s OldSpice Jams – is a 2-hour session of soul, funk, disco, jazz & afrobeat from the 70s & 80s.   In addition to my weekly show on Reach OnAir, I also run my own internet radio station – mistaGROOVE Radio.

Creating mixes with my own special creative skills has always been one of my greatest passions since I invested in two Technics 1210 turntables back in 1987.

God Bless
